The Procedure
The Crystalens implant procedure is a safe and proven refractive technique performed in an outpatient surgical facility. The procedure lasts about 20 minutes and is pain free. The Crystalens implant is inserted in place of the original lens. A small incision allows for quick healing and no stitches are required.

One eye or two?
The Crystalens procedure is normally performed first in the dominant eye.The surgeon will wait two weeks before inserting the second implant to assure the proper balance for reading and distance vision is achieved with both eyes.

Who is a candidate?
The Crystalens is ideally suited for patients who want to not only restore clarity in their vision but also restore their near, intermediate and distance vision.
